The Benardete Archive was founded in 2002 as a not-for-profit corporation for the purpose of preserving the scholarly and philosophical work of Seth Benardete and encouraging serious reflection on it. With this general end in mind our website provides information about Benardete and news of recent and upcoming events pertaining to his thought.
The Archive has assembled a collection of recordings of courses taught by Seth Benardete at the New School for Social Research and New York University from 1964 until his death in November of 2001. The recordings are housed at the New School Archives along with the Seth Benardete Papers. See The Seth Benardete Papers Collection Guide for direct links to the Papers.
The Benardete Archive is also considering the establishment of a regularly scheduled symposium on Benardete’s work and ideas, should funding become available. It would be organized much like the symposium held at The New School University in December, 2002.
