The Seth Benardete Papers are housed at the New School for Social Research, where Seth Benardete taught Greek philosophy at the Graduate Faculty from 1964 to 2001. The Papers consist of the original contents of Benardete’s files in his New York University office, a total of about 15,000 manuscript pages.
The Collection Guide (.pdf) for the Papers is available online at the New School Archives. The contents of the Papers are accessible to the public via hyperlinks in the Collection Guide.
The Papers were prepared for archival preservation at the New School’s Raymond Fogelman Library in 2004-2012 by workers and volunteers from the Benardete Archive with the assistance of the Fogelman Library staff. The project was funded by the Earhart Foundation.
